MediLens is an early-stage health technology company focused on strengthening continuity in outpatient care in India. We are building toward a model of care where doctors and patients remain better connected over time, so care does not reset with every visit. This continuity is made possible by simple, clinic-friendly systems designed for the realities of Indian OPDs.
Why Now
India’s outpatient system is entering a period of structural change. More medical records are moving to digital formats, insured outpatient care is beginning to emerge, and patients increasingly expect more support and guidance. Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) is building the national digital health infrastructure for India — similar to what UPI did for payments.
These shifts create both an opportunity and a responsibility — to help clinics stay ready without adding extra work. MediLens is building systems that allow clinics to deliver continuity of care without disrupting how Indian OPDs operate.

The Team
Founder-led, grounded in healthcare systems
MediLens is led by Sandeep Kumar, a healthcare strategist with over a decade of experience building solutions for insurers, pharmacies, and provider organisations across India and the US. His work has focused on value-based care programs, incentive design, and analytics-led initiatives — giving him a systems-level understanding of how outpatient care is delivered, reimbursed, and experienced.
Across this work, one pattern became clear: outpatient care is episodic not because doctors lack intent, but because existing clinic systems are not designed to carry patient context forward. MediLens was conceived to address this gap by designing systems and incentives that work together to support continuity.
Advisor-supported, with depth in analytics and engineering
